We are a community of professional women who support each other in solving day-to-day challenges and share ideas that grow your business.

ABOUT
US

When Family Law Attorney Janice Roven found out that she was being excluded from a high-powered networking association because of her gender, she and Davida Perry (an attorney specializing in Workplace Discrimination) started their own group in 2016. Since then the group has more than tripled in size, and they continue to forge new relationships and strengthen their business ties with other women in New York City. We have two groups, one that meets in person and the other meets on-line via zoom. The two groups gather on alternating Fridays from 8:30 – 9:30AM.

The Women’s Empowerment Networking Group is an all-women’s networking group uniquely designed to foster confidence and strength in business and in networking. The members of WENG are a diverse group of women who are reliable, highly competent and at the top of their profession. WENG’s mission is not only to increase business through referrals but to build confidence and professional and personal relationships.

Janice Roven is a family law attorney specializing in divorce, child custody and insurance litigation. After fighting for custody of her own son, Janice dedicated her life to helping her clients with the pain of separation. Her post-custody reflection on the turmoil, hostilities, negotiations and resolutions that arise in the divorce process make her uniquely qualified to meet her clients’ needs, both in and out of the courtroom. She has been practicing law for over 37 years.
