Dr. Nina Edwards, Assoc. AIA, PhD, is an architectural designer with over 20 years of industry experience. Edwards’ practice, based in New York City, has specialized in creating sustainable spaces and holistic environments for wellbeing. She serves as faculty at Parsons New School with a course titled Ecological Design for Interiors.

Edwards served as Design Director at the urban think tank Terreform ONE and is on the Architectural Review Board of her community in Long Island. As a board member of the ARB, Edwards oversees the breadth of construction, preservation, and renovation initiatives in her neighborhood, which includes encouraging homeowners to adopt environmental principles and renewable energy systems.

She has been featured as an expert on sustainable design in many media outlets, including The Local Project, Elle Décor, Dezeen, Frame, Domus, Surface Magazine, Architectural Record and The New York Times.

Tonya Martin is a mortgage broker with over 35 years of experience securing financing for both residential and commercial properties in the metropolitan area. She has relationships with banks as well as private lenders which allows her to serve not only experienced real estate investors but also first-time homebuyers. Tonya has participated in homebuyer workshops for community organizations and for employees of local private/charter schools, focusing on the preliminary steps needed to get a mortgage. On the commercial side, she has secured financing for a variety of projects, including arranging financing packages for the first parking garage condo in New York, several co-op buildings that changed to condo ownership, multi-unit commercial buildings and multi-family rental properties.  

Tonya believes in submitting a fully detailed and complete package to lenders. While that may seem like overkill, it reduces processing time and underwriter questions with the goal of a clean approval letter with few conditions. She works with clients from initial submission to closing. This attention to detail is the reason she has long term relationships with brokers, attorneys and investors who appreciate her hard work and professionalism.
